- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (with herbs)
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- ½ cup pickles, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef and onions for about 7-10 minutes; drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix cooked pasta with the beef mixture, diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
