  • 1 lb fresh white fish fillets (cod or tilapia)
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (green or purple)
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Pat fish fillets dry and season both sides with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook fish for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and flaky.
  3. While the fish cooks, warm tortillas in another skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  4. Assemble tacos by layering shredded cabbage on each tortilla, followed by pieces of cooked fish and a squeeze of lime juice.
  5. Add avocado slices and cilantro on top, finishing with a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges.
